Puzzle (updated with answer)

How many people is “two pairs of twins twice”?

(Don’t google the answer. This is a classic riddle, so try to answer it yourself.)

Thanks to those who sent in answers.

The answer is 8. It looks like there are four multiples of two in the phrase: “two”, “pairs”, “twins” and “twice” leading some to guess 16.

But a twin is only one person 🙂

    It has to be 16

  5. RedishTea says:

    i think its 8.

  6. Gimme the answer says:

    it could be,
    twins = 2+2 = 4.
    two pairs of twins (4) = 2 x 4 = 8.
    twice = 8 x 2 = 16.

    i dont know. 16?

    but, after reading it over and over again,
    two pairs of twins = 4.
    twice = 4 x 2 = 8.

    it is not a Math problem. it is English problem. LOL.

    and the correct answer is….?

  7. resampadi says:
